Reason #1 Jennifer Rush is a total Rockstar – She wrote the book that generated the cover of Altered. Because we ladies here at The Book Hookup might have a teeny tiny (ridiculously insane, obsessive) weakness for shirtless tattooed guys. Reason #2 we love Jennifer is because she gave us 4 guys… that’s right, not 1 hottie, but 4! *Amy and Celeste squee and hold hands and jump up and down* Yep, the swooning opportunity is quadrupled! So now it probably seems like we’re just crazy, infatuated fangirls (because we seriously are), but the real reason we love Jennifer so much is that she is so much fun to interact with. She is so humble, and genuinely gets so excited when we get excited. There’s nothing better than loving the author as much as the books!

Story Synopsis: Everything about Anna’s life is a secret. ♥ Hi guys! Welcome to The Book Hookup. We seriously love you all. The ending of Altered certainly wasn’t a cliffhanger, but man oh man, we can already tell this bit of a breather won’t last long. What have you all been up to while we wait for Erased to be released? Any down time?
Cas: And I love you. All of you. And to answer your question, I’ve been eating. Everything.
Nick: That’s your opening? What have I been doing?
Sam: *scowls at Nick* We’ve been trying to put our lives back together. Adjusting to the real world after being gone from it.
Trev: Unfortunately, I can’t answer that.
Cas: Trev’s been kissing ass, most likely. *giggles*
♥ For the readers out there that may not know you guys.. describe yourself in three words or less.
Cas: Handsome. Charming. Handsome.
Nick: Annoyed.
Trev: I don’t know…well read?
Sam: Tired.
♥ We were a bit worried at first about keeping (all your hotness) each one of you separate in our heads as we read Altered, but Jennifer did a great job showing us just how different and unique you guys really are.. And you also have different tattoos.. Can we see? Ya know, for comparisons sake?
Cas: I will show you any part of my body you want.
Amy and Celeste: YESSSSSS! *high five*
Nick: No.
Trev: I don’t have any tattoos.
Sam: *shows birch trees tattoo*
♥ Between the 4 of you guys, who are you closest with and why?
Cas: Sammy. He’s practically my brother. He wants to adopt me.
Nick: *snorts* You’d have to pay someone to adopt you.
Trev: *looks crestfallen* Once, not long ago, I was closest to Cas.
Cas: And you ruined our relationship. I will never forgive you! *fake cries*
Sam: I’m close with all of them.
♥ Sam, you are what we might call brooding.. a trait we friggin’ LOVE here at The Book Hookup.. Anna never stopped chipping away at you because she couldn’t ignore the fact that she was drawn to and felt connected to you.. Did that make you happy or frustrated? And secondly, did you always feel protective over Anna? Now looking back do you think it was part of how you were programmed or does it go farther than that?
Sam: Obviously, in the beginning, it frustrated me. It was dangerous for anyone to be close to me. But now… *looks away, changes subject* We all care about Anna. I care about Anna. Whatever protectiveness we feel, it’s real.
♥ Nick, you my friend, are one very FEISTY dude. (Amy and Celeste: We loves us some feistiness! Rawr.) You come off as a bit cold hearted with a ton of major attitude most of the time.. Is there anything you didn’t share with Jennifer that you can tell us that might give a little more insight to you? How much more of your story is there?
Nick: There’s plenty I didn’t share. My business is my business. No one else’s. Next question.
♥ Cas, your sense of humor is epic. Is that just part of who you are? Or do you try to lighten the mood?
Cas: I think what you’re trying to ask is if I’m epic. The answer is yes. Yes I am. But I DO like everyone to get along! Why waste your time on negativity? Where’s the fun in that?
♥ Trev, you’re Anna’s best friend.. Can you tell us something about her that no one else knows?
Trev: *thinks, eyes Sam* She once drew a picture of Sam that was—
Sam: Trev. *gives one quick shake of the head*
♥ When you really think about it, it’s INSANE that there were boys in the basement. Have you wrapped your heads around how badly you have been treated?
Cas: Listen, here’s the thing. I had a bed. A hot shower. And food served to me by a pretty girl. The only thing missing was a hot sandy beach.
Nick: Every F***ing day.
Trev: We thought we were doing something important.
Sam: *scowls at Trev* You thought you were doing something important. The rest of us were just biding our time until we could escape. Cages are cages. There’s no nice way to spin that bullshit.
♥ How do you guys feel about your missing memories? Are you afraid of what you will learn or do you want the missing pieces?
Cas: I don’t really care either way. I can always make new memories. *waggles eyebrows*
Nick: I don’t want them back. Ever.
Trev: I’m afraid, yes. But they’re important. You can’t make a machine run without all its pieces.
Sam: I need my memories. Knowledge is everything to me.
♥ Alright guys, so we have this on going question that we ask in almost every character interview that we do.. Blondes or Brunettes?
Cas: Both. At the same time.
Nick: *smacks Cas on the back of the head* Don’t be a jackass.
